|Reverend Ezekiah Grimme|
|Affiliation||Church of Lost Angels, The City of Lost Angels|
Background and OriginsEdit
The earliest records of Ezekiah Grimme are of his life as a preacher who lived in the town of Los Angeles before the Great Quake. In the wake of that terrible disaster Grimme and some of his congregation were some of the few to survive. Grimme lead his followers to the mainland. Caring for them in the aftermath of such destruction proved more difficult then surviving the quake itself. Supplies of fresh water and food were scarce and there was little to selter the impoverished refugees from the harshness of the elements. Many of Grimme's followers turned to cannibalism in order to survive. Grimme himself refused to do so, however and stated that God's providence would eventually provide relief for the impoverished and starving refugees of the quake. Eventually the reverends own followers turned on him and devoured the man down to his bones. At this point Grimme was resurrected by the Reckoners. Grimme was no longer the man he had been in life but was rather a foul abomination who preached a gospel of exploiting and even consuming weaker men. He was also a being of great power, able to perform powerful black magic. Grimme quickly won the loyalty of many of the regugees of the Great Quake, beginning with those who had eaten him.
The Church of Lost AngelsEdit
Grimme lead his band of followers to the location that would become the City of Lost Angels, a location chosen based on dreams sent to him by the Reckoners. Grimme organized his followers into the Church of Lost Angels, an institution that was outwardly a Christian Church but who's inner circle were all practicers of his cannibalistic cult. The Reverend Ezekiah Grimme became the most powerful figure in the City of Lost Angels and was the temporal ruler of that city in all but name.
